Does God Love War?

Let me start with Shaykh Hamza Yusuf. I do not know him personally, but according to wikipedia, Hamza Yusuf is a traditionalist Islamic scholar that teaches at the Zaytuna Institute in California.I was at some party where I found this book called “What Every Person Should Know About War” by Chris Hedges, another brilliant author with enormous experience in war whose books are concentrated on American and Middle Eastern politics and society. As I opened that book and started reading it, I could not stop. I finished it. I read some articles online and somehow found an mp3 called “Does God Love War” which I have uploaded to “rapidshare” – so anyone can download it and listen to it. I recommend you listen to the two files I have attached to this entry and read the following books:

Back to Hamza Yusuf. As I could not stop reading Mr. Hedges’ book, neither could I stop listening to the mp3’s I have downloaded. That’s how I became familiar with Hamza Yusuf. He just impressed me, making me read more stuff about him.

Later, I am going to talk more about these two man, but now, since my entry is called “Does God Love War”, I will stop right here and let you download the files I want everybody to listen to. Especially if you are interested in war and/or want to know more about Islam.

  3. Recognize how= (how can I be a muslim):
    1- (Witness) Testify that there is no god but but Allah and I testify that Mohammed is his prophet ((is the key to the door of Paradise))
    2- to pray to allah.

    3- Endorsing that ((Zakat money is given each year to the poor and needy that.

    4- the Fast of Ramadan (fasting month means that the entire mess left before dawn to sunset and then eat Maecha also reminds him a lot and God forgive him because misdeeds that Fasts not eating, but prevents his tongue, hand and eye anything (harms=not good things) others.
    5- H Ajj House of God ((Pilgrimage licked sins and the sins of it is attributable rights after 5 or 6 days such as yesterday generated nation .

    Finally:

Shaykh Hamza Yusuf is amazing, i heard him speak just last week at an annual Islamic convention is Toronto, it’s called Reviving the Islamic Spirit… if you find Hamza Yusuf a great speaker than try listening to some Imam Zaid Shakir’s lectures. They know each other and have done some lectures alongside each other.

  9. Hamza Yusuf is definitely an amazing individual. I’ve had the pleasure of talking to him during a book signing and listening to his lectures at the yearly Islamic conventions in Toronto. The thing that draws most people to him is how intellectual he is and the way he interprets Islam so beautifully. If you ever get the chance, see his live lectures…
