Palm TX turns on by itself / Screen noise

Problem: Palm TX turns on by itself / your Palm automatically turns on every (fill in the blank) seconds/minutes.
Solution: Uninstall recently installed software. In my case, the problem was caused by DigiFix (screen calibrator)
Solution 2: Check versamail autosync and uncheck the “autosync” checkbox.
Solution 3: Turn off beam receive.

Problem: Palm TX screen makes an annoying high-pitch noise / Palm screen noise.
Solution: Install Whinehack. (download PRC-file)

  1. Wow the whinehack worked wonders. The sound was driving me nuts and I couldn’t stand it but I installed whinehack and POOF no more noise. It was a life saver.

  3. Thanks for pointing out Whinehack Davron. Noticed the noise but never quite bothered me. Maybe because I’m beginning to go deaf ;) . I’d only hear it once in a while especially when reading in bed late at night, the house is quiet and afraid it’s going to wake up the baby. I’m going to download it and give it a try.

  4. No problem Lynette… yeah, it depends, you notice it on some, but not all. It can be quite annoying on some models and on many others it’s unnoticeable
